Managing Director and Principal Consultant Scott Butler has created a business focused on service and real value add; not just obvious and perfunctory recruitment services. He established Butler HR in 2000, having previously served as executive recruiter and middle manager for national and multinational recruitment companies.

Scott’s focus is professional and executive recruitment and HR consultancy across industry, and he has been involved in many of the region’s top C-level executive and management teams over the past 17 years.

He has an in-depth appreciation and knowledge of the local employment market and is expert on the best way to promote vacancies and attract the best audience; and get results.

Scott sees Butler HR as a MarComms business specialising in recruitment services. Passionate about employment advertising and employer branding; Scott and Butler HR have earned a reputation for producing ‘attractive propositions’ and have been national finalists in the Fairfax Employment Marketing Awards (FEMA).

Scott enjoys the great outdoors and is a fanatical cyclist. He has a young family who test his capacity to juggle his other interests; art, travel, music and following the Sydney Swans.

 Christopher Apps, Registered Psychologist

Chris Apps is a registered Psychologist and consultant to Butler HR for more 10 years. Chris specialises in psychometric testing; pre and post-employment and has considerable experience and an abundance of assessment resources.

Chris is serious about his craft and only uses profiles that have been scientifically validated for use by accredited professionals. Chris’ collaboration with Butler HR has seen him assess more than 1000 people and together complete a ‘normative project’ with ACER.

When he’s not at work, Chris is a committed family man who enjoys all sports. He is a cycling enthusiast and an active member of the Illawarra Cycle Club.
